Klayton Southwood is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a Senior Director with WTW. He has 34 years of consulting experience, 23 of which are with WTW. He has experience in both personal and commercial lines, with emphasis on private passenger auto, commercial auto and homeowners insurance.
Klayton currently serves on the Insurance Consulting and Technology Americas Leadership Team as a Line of Business Leader for the Property/Casualty practice. He also leads WTW’s Florida property insurance practice.
Klayton serves as President of Willis Towers Watson Analytical Insurance Services, Inc. and, in this role, leads the internal team that developed the WTW/e2Value Structure Insurance Score, a tool that is used for pricing and underwriting of property insurance based on structural characteristics of a building.
He is past chair of the Casualty Actuarial Society Ratemaking Seminar Committee and Professional Education Policy Committee. He has chaired two task forces focused on modernization of CAS continuing education offerings. He is a past president of the Central Illinois Actuarial Club. He is a frequent speaker at Casualty Actuarial Society seminars.
Klayton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, summa cum laude, from Illinois State University.
